Web sites require two things in addition to a Webmaster:
- A Domain Name - The address you want your website to have
(i.e. nostalgicwebdesign.com) - Hosting - Server space to house your site.
I can help set you up with a domain name and hosting, or you can take care of this on your own before you come to me. Many hosting companies actually will help register your domain names as well. If you are a newbie to having a web site, you can easily go to a search engine and look up "web hosting," or "domain registration." If you prefer I take care of getting you set up with a domain and hosting, I'll charge you whatever it costs to get that done in addition to my regular web design fees.
What kind of Web Site are you trying to start?
- Blog: A blog is an online journal where you could share your poetry or your day-to-day thoughts as well as upload pictures and other media items. I am familiar with WordPress, a powerful blogging tool and could set you up with a layout or two, install Plug-ins (bells and whistles that "extend the functionality of WordPress"), and instruct you on how to use it. If this is what you are looking for, there would be a one-time fee of $50.00.
- Small Site: If you are looking to start a small site with the maximum of 6 subpages without any sort of blogging feature (small businesses, for example), I would change a one time fee of $250.
- Large Site: Want a site that is 6-12 pages with an optional blog? I'd charge a one time fee of $350.
* If your website would require continual up-keep, additional payments would be necessary but the charge will be negotiated with me.
** All prices on this website are listed in USD.
Payment: I require the aforementioned "one-time" fees prior to construction of the web site. Additional fees for continual upkeep of web sites will vary from website to website and thus will be negotiated prior to construction of the website. Payment methods I accept are money orders and paypal, and people I know may also choose to use a personal check.
